Artist Notes: 

I rarely repeat a painting, preferring to "stay fresh" with new ideas and designs. There ARE exceptions, of course; like one of my favorite characters, Ol' Black Tom. 

Tom was inspired by a friend's vintage papier mache Halloween cat mask. It was so creepy that I knew if I didn't paint it, it would give me nightmares for weeks! 

Ol' Black Tom keeps showing up in my imagination, demanding to be included in a variety of spooky paintings. I've grown to really love Tom, despite his scary visage!
